Richard

(aka The Green Lantern)

(aka The Guru) look for him on jumpers :)

Richard is the one who came up with the name 3D Runners and Stragglers. He loves to look after his fellow club members by turning up every week with a few rucksacks full of flasks, tea, coffee, mugs etc.... "He makes a good cuppa" said someone once.

His infection laughter can be heard for miles in the woods and he is certainly at home there.  Rumour has it that he sneaks into Sherwood Pines at night time, especially if there is a full moon. The only gods that Richard prays to are the "Gods of Local Legends!".

Laura"Flora"

(aka The Organiser,  Flozznob,  Looby Lou)

Laura is the one that likes to get things done and keep things in shape.  She is the one who organised the Alton Towers extravaganza and she has also organised herself to run the London Marathon (lol). "Oh Sh**" she said with excitement when she discovered that she had won a place.  Laura can often be seen volunteering in numerous roles at the weekly Parkrun event.  She particularly enjoys the Race Director days where she gets to be heckled by certain fellow team members. She also enjoys giving Richard a some grief (fair to say he deserves it most of the time).

Emily

Sister of Laura. Seeing the pair together makes one glad that one is an only child (only joking, they do love and look out for each other really). Emily is the quiet but fearless type (unless there is snot involved but every superhero has their Kryptonite). When on form Emily can run at an admirable pace. When not running she can be seen around the forest with (very) warm clothing and hot coffee in hand. Her favorite ride at Alton Towers was the Smiler which is appropriate as she always has a smile on her face (unless there is snot about).

Lisa

(aka Keeper of the Guru)

Lisa is the only living entity that can keep The Guru under control. Without her he would be around the Forest like a tazmanian devil, preaching about Local Legends to every person that crosses his path. Lisa enjoys the parkrun (sometimes) and tries very hard when she does run. She does very well actually and is an inspiration to many. When she is not shouting at The Guru her laughter can be heard echoeing around the treetops.

Shane

(aka The Tree Hugger)

(aka Worshipper of the Guru - Look out for the Hoodie)

Shane is a top lad and a good runner.  He runs better when he fuels his body with a mixed diet of sensible and energy rich nutrition.  A few beers and a "massive" Chinese normally works well.  He is an active member of the coffee club and can often be seen going in for refills (especially after the diet of a few beers and a "massive" Chinese from the night before).  He is also an avid worshipper of 'The Guru' as can be seen from the apparel that he wears.  Rumour has it that he even has him tattoo'd on his **** but this is yet to be confirmed.

Jodie

(aka Keeper of George)

Jodie doesn't find running too easy (she has valid reasons for this) but she does really well. She conquered the 3 peaks challenge within 24 hours and is a regular visitor to the local gym. Whilst she does enjoy participating in the coffee (provided by The Guru (did I already mention this?)) she does also enjoy baking sessions in the kitchen when she can find the time. Her life is very busy and she is always on the go whether it be working, fitness, baking, singing, painting or crafting. Jode also likes rabbits and in fact can do a mean impression of one.

Lizzie

(aka Keeper of Shane... and Rabbits)

Lizzie is a new member to the group. She is the one that tames the Tree Hugger. Although quite new to Parkrun she is already putting in some great times and is an active participant in the Coffee (provided by The Guru) sessions.

Paula

(aka Keeper of Paul and Cats)

Paula is married to Paul. They are soul mates sharing many commonalities like music and chilling in Devon. Also Paula loves her cats very much🐱 (whether Paul does is open for discussion). Like Andrea, she is also a fan of Earl Grey Tea. Paula is a competitive type and does very well at Parkrun, always trying for that PB. She is quite a witty character with a wicked sense of humour. Both her and Paul have quite busy schedules so we are not blessed with their presence as often as one would like.

Paul

(aka "PB Paul"

Paul has more PB's to his name than anyone in Parkrun. He actually holds the record for consecutive PB's. Paul is not a lover of people, crowds or children but when the 3D runners congregate he breaks out of his mould and actually seems to enjoy being with everyone. He has a distinct taste in music, echoed by Paula. He does like a good curry though and can cook a mean butter chicken curry himself. Paul also likes to get out on the mountain bike and enjoys chilling in Devon.

Brian

(aka "The Pusher")

(aka Baby Bri)

Brian is the 'supplier of cakes' (but not the maker of cakes). To compliment the beverages supplied by The Guru, the cakes are a welcome treat after a 5km run. Brian is the Father of Laura & Emily and is lovingly known as "The Pusher". Whilst running he is like a relentless and silent destroyer, picking his targets off one by one. One not to be underestimated is Brian for he can run at a very admirable pace. He can come from nowhere with speeds like the Roadrunner (but without the "meep meep" sound). A lover of Rock music, just like The Guru and also has a 3D birthday, just like The Guru.

George

(George also likes trees (and Grass except for lawn week) for more details see Greensmiths Garden Care

George enjoys the friendly competitive side of Parkrun. He sets his targets and often achieves them. He has a good pace which is mainly due to the cake and coffee (provided by The Guru) at the end. He can play mean acoustic guitar and cooks the best Cauliflower Curry. He is a laid back character and likes to chill out in Devon. He is the one that introduced us all to Ben Howard.

Andrea

(aka Mother of Jodie)

(aka Keeper of Sean)

Andrea enjoys being outdoors and participating in the post-run activities. She is a refined lady and is a big fan of Earl Grey Tea and nice shoes. When she isn't out with the 3D runners or at home she will probably be found in either a shoe shop or Tesco's. Andrea loves the sun and warm climates. She also loves her family and looks after them very well. She is always on the go and enjoys keeping busy.

Sean

(aka The Vegan one) just in case I haven't already told you.

Sean is by far the best looking and smartest member of 3D runners (well it's my website so I can say what I want!). Actually Sean is quite humbled to see the people turn up week after week. Sean decided to start running as part of a lifestyle change, along with quitting alcohol and has not regretted it one bit... well apart from nearly breaking the ankle. Enough of the 3rd person speak, this is me now... I just want to say that I love seeing everyone turn up, run and meet for coffee and banter. I love that Rich tirelessly brings the flasks and coffee. I love that Brian brings the cakes and treats that his wife makes (even though they are not vegan). I love how we support and encourage each other along the way. I enjoy being part of our little group and I look forward to it every week, I hope it continues for many years. Thanks to each and every one of you.

Callum

(aka so many but for legal reasons I'm not putting them)

Callum is our part-time member. Sightings of Callum running at parkrun are almost as rare as wild cats in Derbyshire, the Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster. In fact let's have a competition to win a free coffee for the first person to email a pic of Callum actually running :). Entries to admin@3drunners.com.
